Maharashtra election 2024 updates: PM Modi today

This week Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold nine rallies in Maharashtra, his first rallies will begin from Friday. This will be part of BJP’s campaign for the Vidhan Sabha elections in the state.


Prime Minster Modi :

Prime Minister Modi addressed a rally in Dhule and promised people for continuous development for the state under the Mahayayuti government and attacked the Congress party on various grounds. Prime Minister Modi accused the Congress and India Block parties for implanting a “conspiracy” against Kashmir after the bringing of recent proposal for the restoration of unclaimed Article 370 in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.


PM Modi will deliver speeches in Akola at 12 noon on 9th November and in Nainital at 2 pm. He will address the rallies at Chimmur and Solapur on 12th November and will also participate in the road show in Pune in the evening.

His final rallies are going to be held in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Rayagada and Mumbai on 14th November. Elections for the 288-seat Maharashtra Legislative Assembly are going to be held on 20th November, the results of which will be announced after three days.


The BJP Mahayuti alliance includes Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena , Ajit Pawar’s NCP and BJP itself. Against them is the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which includes Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP), Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Congress party.


Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said here that he did not request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold a rally in his constituency as the contest there is within the family. Here in Baramati constituency MLA Ajit Pawar is contesting against his nephew Yugendra Pawar, who is contesting elections from the Nationalist Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar.


On Thursday, Chief of NCP (SP) Sharad Pawar said that people of Maharashtra are seeking for change and the opposition’s Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will offer them an alternative in upcomming state assembly elections.


He also supported Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s call for the caste census. Pawar made these remarks at Nagpur Airport, before public meeting related to November 20 state elections.


The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance has made several promises ahead of the assembly elections, like giving Rs 3,000 per month to women, Rs 4,000 per month to unemployed youth and loan waivers up to Rs 3 lakh to farmers. Apart from this, health insurance of up to Rs 25 lakh, free medicines are also promised. Where as the present BJP led Mahayayuti government offers Rs 1,500 to eligible women under the ‘ Ladki Bahin’ scheme and is now planning to increase this to Rs 2,100.
