Terrorist attack :
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but there is suspicion it may have been a terrorist attack.
According to officials, the incident occurred a week after a bomb blast near a girls’ school in western Pakistan. “The police that came under the attack were suddenly taking workers for the safety of polio workers,” Rahment Ullah, an independent police officer, told Effie on November 1 . He said “there is a girls’ school near the site of the attack” in the town of Mastung in Balochistan province.
Terrorist attacks in Pakistan have seen a worrying rise, with many deaths reported in 2023. A large portion of terrorist attacks in Pakistan have taken place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
Pakistan’s security forces are fighting the Ugravadi in the south-western provinces of Balochistan along with the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which has targeted Punjabi workers, Chinese citizens and civilian citizens.
